-
Heaters for Chemical solution are used immersed in liquid,
so the material of the heater outer tube that can be used varies depending
on the liquid's properties (pH = degree of acidity or alkalinity).
If the heater outer tube material is improperly selected for the chemical solution,
damage such as corrosion, melting, hardening, or cracking may occur in the heater tube or tubing,
leading to accidents such as heater insulation failure or electrical leakage.
-
The heat output of the heater varies significantly depending on the operating voltage.
Strictly adhere to the rated voltage (110V, 220V, etc.) indicated on our heater.
Using a voltage different from the rated voltage is extremely dangerous and may cause a fire.
-
The liquid temperature that a heater can tolerate varies by heater model.
You must strictly adhere to the liquid temperature conditions
specified in the catalog and instruction manual.
-
When used under conditions where convection in the liquid is difficult
due to factors such as the liquid's specific gravity, specific heat, or the type of additives,
the heater's heat dissipation can be significantly impeded, leading to overheating.
This may cause electrical leakage or fire.
Furthermore, forcing the liquid to circulate during heating
or subjecting the heater to ultrasonic vibrations may cause malfunctions
or pose an electric shock hazard.
If you have any questions regarding heater selection,
such as for use under special conditions, please consult us.

|
-
Do not remove the heater from the tank while it is energized, nor leave it outside the tank.
-
Even when power is disconnected, residual heat remains in the heater for some time after turning off the power.
Therefore, do not remove the heater from the tank immediately after power is disconnected.
After turning off the power, leave the heater submerged in the liquid for at least 20 minutes.
-
Do not install the straight immersion heater at an angle or sideways,
or install the L-shaped heater in a vertical L-shape orientation.
Do not install the product in any manner that differs from its specifications.
-
When installing the heater in the tank,
ensure that no liquid leaks from the tank and that the portion of the heater below the level line
(lower limit of the liquid surface) remains submerged in the liquid.
-
Always follow the usage conditions specified for each product.
Never use the product in a manner that deviates from these conditions.
Doing so will void the warranty.
-
If dust, liquid, mist, gas, etc., are left adhering to the outer tube of the chemical solution heating heater,
or if scale or sludge becomes firmly attached, it will obstruct the heater's heat dissipation and cause malfunction.
Therefore, please regularly check the condition of the heater and clean it.
Also, please perform regular inspections not only on the tank and heater,
but also on the electrical environment.
|
For details,
please refer to the Instruction Manual
and Precautions for Use and Safety for each model.
A Safe Electrical Environment is the foundation of Safety Measures.
- Install one set of overcurrent protection (fuse) per heater. Additionally,
install one appropriate ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
per heater (or at least one GFCI for every two heaters).
- It is important not only to select overcurrent protection devices (fuses)
and ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) appropriate for the heater,
but also to ensure their safe and proper placement.
Furthermore, a safe environment must be maintained to prevent flammable substances,
high humidity, condensation, dust, or particulate matter from affecting the heater or electrical systems.
- To prevent accidents, it is important for safety management to ground not only the heater
but also the tank and equipment. We also recommend grounding any equipment installed alongside electrical devices.
- The automatic liquid temperature regulator for heaters also serves as safety management equipment.
It is important that it not only controls temperature but also considers electrical safety.
- The power supply wiring for the heater must be wired using cables that meet the appropriate specifications
for the installation environment, such as voltage resistance and heat resistance.
- If the relay panel is not wired correctly,
it may cause malfunctions or accidents due to open circuits or short circuits.
- When combining low-voltage components with high-voltage heaters,
it is essential to incorporate a safety protection circuit.
- Please use genuine parts for safety equipment as well.
Instances have been confirmed where improper installation of non-genuine parts not specified in the design
caused localized overheating, placing stress on the heat-generating components and resulting in damage.
- Temperature control using SSRs (Solid State Relays) offers advantages such as silent operation
due to the absence of mechanical contacts, long service life,
and the ability to perform on/off control via high-speed pulses (PWM control).
However, there are also disadvantages. When using SSRs for heater control,
the SSRs themselves generate significant heat.
Because SSRs are constructed from semiconductors, they are vulnerable to heat.
Insufficient heat dissipation can cause them to fail due to their own heat generation.
Furthermore, most failures are short-circuit faults, causing the heater to remain energized in the ON state,
which can lead to fire hazards.
Therefore, it is strongly advised to always incorporate a circuit that automatically cuts off
the power supply upon detecting an SSR malfunction.
- Our automatic liquid temperature controllers utilize electromagnetic switches from a fail-safe perspective.
An electromagnetic switch is a device combining an electromagnetic contactor with a thermal relay
that forcibly interrupts the circuit when overcurrent flows through the contactor.
Even in control panel designs where we adopt SSRs, we incorporate electromagnetic switches.
Safety management for temperature control and regulation
requires the prior consideration and design of safety measures.
As a basic safety measure, use exceeding the rated power is prohibited.
◆About Heaters for the Japanese Domestic Market
Japan's power supply allows fluctuations up to +10% of the nominal voltage based on industrial standards.
Therefore, Taniguchi Heaters designs the power rating of its heaters as follows:
- For heaters with a nominal voltage of 200V, the rated voltage is 3-phase 220V.
- For heaters with a nominal voltage of 100V, the rated voltage is single-phase 110V.
◆Power Supply Conditions Outside Japan and Using Heaters Overseas
The transfer and use of our heaters (rated voltage 220V) intended for use within Japan
to countries utilizing high voltages of 3-phase 380V or higher is fundamentally prohibited.
This falls outside the scope of our quality guarantee.
This is because while Japan has a stable power supply environment,
some overseas regions have unstable power supplies with significant voltage fluctuations.
Even if the local high voltage is stepped down to Japan's nominal voltage using a transformer,
excessive heat generation exceeding the heater's rated power may occur,
potentially causing heater failure or posing a hazard. When using our heaters overseas,
always use either a transformer-equipped heater designed for overseas use
or an overseas-use heater that operates directly on the local voltage.
◆Regarding Overseas Heaters (Direct Use of Local Voltage)
Global power supplies include single-phase 230V/240V,
and high-voltage three-phase systems such as 380V, 400V, 415V, 420V, 440V, and 480V.
Considering the overseas power supply conditions mentioned earlier,
Taniguchi Heaters standardizes heaters destined for regions with a nominal voltage of 380V
to a nominal voltage specification of 400V.
For other high-voltage regions, we manufacture products tailored to each specific requirement.
When ordering heaters for overseas use,
please always confirm the local power supply conditions and provide us with your instructions accordingly.
